Biography
Daw Zarchi Tin serves as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of Dai-ichi Life Insurance Myanmar Ltd, as well as the Status of Executive Officer in Dai-ichi Life Holidngs, Inc. Prior to joining Dai-ichi Life Insurance Group, She comes with over 20 years of experience. Daw Zarchi Tin held positions in Myanmar and international organizations, in various capacities including corporate strategy, investment & retail banking and business development of First Myanmar Investment Co Ltd (FMI), Yoma Bank, Central Bank of Canada, and BNP Paribas Investment Bank.
A Myanmar national, Daw Zarchi Tin holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Strategy from the University of Oxford in UK, an MBA in Finance from the University of Ottawa in Canada, and a BA in Economics from Vesalius College in Belgium. She obtained her designation as Financial Risk Manager from the Global Association of Risk Professionals and Board of Director Certification by the Thailand and Myanmar Institute of Directors.
In addition to serving on the board of directors of Dai-ichi Life Insurance Myanmar Ltd., Zarchi Tin also serves on the advisory board of U Thant House. Past board roles include banking (Yoma Bank), investment (FMI), airline (FMI Air), advertising (FMIDecaux Co. Ltd) and healthcare (Pun Hlaing Silom Hospital) sectors. Daw Zarchi Tin is a passionate advocate for gender equality and believe in empowering the youths and talents to fulfil their potentials. As a founding member of the Business Coalition for Gender Equality (BCGE), she had worked with a team to support and implement initiatives to achieve equal gender opportunities in the corporate world.
